Canon has released
Canon EOS 350D Digital Rebel XT Firmware v1.0.3.
This update: "Fixes the phenomenon of shots being unable to be taken when using the remote controller RC-1.
Fixes the phenomenon wherein the camera continues to scroll through images being played back.
Improves reliability in communication when using some CF cards."
Canon has released Canon EOS 20D Firmware v2.0.3 and
Canon EOS 20Da Firmware v2.0.3.
This update "Fixes a problem in color temperature information transmission that occurred when using Speedlite 430EX" and
"Improves reliability in communication when using CF cards."

Canon has posted Canon 1D Mark II Firmware v1.2.4
and Canon 1Ds Mark II Firmware v1.1.4.
These new firmware versions "Fix the phenomenon of file number errors that occurred when shooting bulb exposures"
and "Improve reliability in communication when using some CF cards."
In addition, the 1Ds Mark II firmware "Fix[es] the phenomenon of horizontal line noise appearing when P.Fn-21 is set to ON."

Canon has released
DPP (Digital Photo Pro) v2.0.3.
From this link, select the option for Drivers/Software.
This updater download requires a previous Canon RIC (Raw Image Converter) to be installed on the computer being updated.
Some nice enhancements have been added including real time sharpening and a PS Healing Brush-like tool.
Hint: Canon does listen to our requests - sometimes at least.

Amazon is now showing the Canon EOS 5D in stock.
Lots of small changes have been made throughout the site recently - most not worthy of mention here.
A revised Help section is one of the bigger small changes.
One of the questions I frequently get asked is "What are you going to review next?"
Well, here is a little insight into my huge todo list ...
After I finish the new Canon equipment reviews,
I plan to evaluate third party lenses from the likes of Sigma and Tamron.
To start, I have purchased the
Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di Lens and the
Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8 EX DG Lens.
You will find these lenses added to the navigation structure.

is an interesting read and offers insight into the future.
Adobe has released Camera Raw v3.2 for Photoshop CS2.
However, I see no reason for Canon DSLR owners to bother with the upgrade.
Support for many non-Canon camera models is the noted change.

According to an article
on Rob Galbraith's site, Canon USA expects to ship
Canon EOS 1D Mark II N Digital SLR Cameras,
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lenses and
Canon Speedlite 430EX Flashes
to its dealers starting on Monday.
Early October is the expected shipment date for the
Canon EOS 5D.
