From Tenba:
Tenba Launches New Cineluxe Collection for Filmmakers
North White Plains, NY – April 13, 2016 – Tenba today announced a sneak peek of the new Cineluxe video camera bag collection at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show the week of April 18-21, 2016. The first to bring the “doctor bag” style opening to backpacks and rolling cases, Tenba’s new collection gives uncompromising filmmakers the quickest possible access to their gear when shooting.
Flex-Core Dividers
New Flex-Core dividers are unique in their combination of stiffness and flexibility, providing a secure separation between cameras and lenses. They are both rigid and bendable, allowing for quick, on-the-fly tweaks to the interior layout to fit changing camera systems.
Protective Wraps and Pouches
Cineluxe bags include a selection of protective padded wraps and pouches that allow sensitive equipment to be safely stored alongside larger cameras and rigs, offering more versatility than traditional Velcro dividers.
“Doctor Bag” Opening
The “doctor bag” style opening is crafted from anodized aluminum bars that give unobstructed access to the interior while also increasing the bag’s rigidity and camera protection. To meet the needs of traveling filmmakers, the “doctor bag” functionality has been fitted to a carry-on compatible rolling case and two backpacks.
Professional Features
Cineluxe bags deliver on Tenba’s reputation for durability, with a water-repellent exterior of 840-denier junior ballistic nylon with YKK zippers, a waterproof “Body Armor” bottom panel, and an equipment-friendly interior of ripstop nylon and soft, brushed tricot. Each bag includes a WeatherWrap rain cover and trolley straps to piggyback onto larger rolling cases.
The Cineluxe collection includes two carry-on compatible backpacks with Tenba’s comfortable Pivot-Fit Airflow harness and waist belt, a carry-on compatible rolling case with specially developed shock absorbing wheels, and three shoulder bags that range from 15 to 22 inches in interior length. Cineluxe bags will be available July 2016.

From Tenba:
North White Plains, NY – October 1, 2013 – Leading the way in carrying solutions for over 30 years, Tenba announces that it has expanded their popular Messenger collection. Messenger DNA bags which are available in 2 convenient sizes, contain all the crucial building blocks of a great everyday bag combined with the protection of a camera bag and the ability to use it while riding a bicycle. These new bags feature uncompromising weatherproof materials and durable hardware, lightweight yet protective padding, style and comfort, and great functionality — Tenba’s own custom-built double helix.
Messenger DNA bags were inspired by life in New York City and other big cities, where a photographer or filmmaker needs to potentially carry the same bag to a meeting with clients, then to a professional photo or video shoot, and finally to hanging out with friends in the evening. The new Messenger DNA bags include a security strap to anchor the bag behind the user while riding a bicycle or scooter, and the photo insert is removable to quickly convert it from a camera bag to a general-purpose carryall.
The bag’s exterior is made from a graphite-colored 600 denier Helix fabric with a durable water repellent coating. To enhance its wet-weather protection, the front flap extends over the top of the bag and includes a sewn hinge to provide excellent coverage at the corners. The bottom of the bag is made with an abrasion- and moisture-resistant tarpaulin that protects the bag on any wet or dirty surface, and can be easily wiped clean. Additionally, the new Messenger DNA bags include Tenba’s exclusive WeatherWrap removable rain cover for an extra layer of protection in bad weather. The WeatherWrap is silver on one side to reflect heat on sunny days, and to provide better visibility when riding a bicycle, and the other side is black for more stealth and subtlety.
“When users live and work in a big city environment, their messenger bag very often takes the place of an apartment and car — everything needed for a full day basically hangs off one shoulder,” said Peter Waisnor, Marketing Manager of Tenba. “The Messenger DNA bags meet that need for all-day comfort and versatility, defense from wet-weather surprises, and padded protection for expensive camera gear, whether the user is walking, taking the subway or riding a bike.”
Messenger DNA bags are built for speed, and the main closure uses Fidlock patented magnetic clips — the fastest clips in the world. They enable quick slide release and blind, drop-on reattachment that works when the bag is behind the user, or when wearing gloves. A top zipper in the flap allows camera gear to be quickly retrieved without opening the front flap. This is an important security feature as well, since it keeps the bag interior covered while swapping out cameras or lenses, which is critical when traveling in dangerous or unfamiliar locations.
The interior of the Messenger DNA is made from equipment-friendly, smooth ripstop nylon and soft, brushed tricot. There are pockets to organize camera accessories and personal items, and the padded camera insert can be quickly removed to convert the bag to a general-purpose, yet worldclass messenger bag. A rear trolley strap slides over the extending handle of a rolling suitcase or equipment case for secure and convenient piggyback travel when moving through an airport. Messenger DNA bags come in two sizes. The DNA 11 accommodates either a mirrorless camera with 3-5 lenses, or a digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera with 2-3 lenses, plus accessories, and the rear-padded sleeve will hold an iPad or an 11-inch MacBook Air. The DNA 15 fits a professional DSLR with 2-3 lenses (up to an attached 70-200mm f/2.8), flash and audio gear, and has two padded interior sleeves: one for a laptop up to 15 inches, and another for an iPad.
Messenger DNA bags will begin shipping at the end of October at a suggested retail price of $129.95 for the DNA 11, and $159.95 for the DNA 15.

From Tenba:
Designed to be the ultimate business backpack
North White Plains, NY, May 06, 2013 - Leading the way in carrying solutions for over 30 years, Tenba announces that it has introduced a new bag to their popular Roadie collection. The Roadie Executive Backpack was designed to be the ultimate briefcase backpack for the traveling professional. It features a handsome and distinctive exterior design that matches the rest of the Roadie collection. It is built with three cascading storage sections: first for laptop, iPad and documents; second for tech accessories; and third for core business tools like pens and business cards. The cascading sections nest together when zipped shut, so the bag always maintains a slim profile.
Unique to the Roadie Executive is a dual-pocket computer compartment that will hold both an iPad and a laptop up to 15 inches. The left side of the bag has a stretchy mesh pocket for a beverage or other items for quick access. On the right side there is one of Tenba's signature zippered side pockets that can be accessed even while wearing both sides of the harness; it fits a wallet and passport for easy retrieval.
“From photographers and filmmakers to our own marketing and sales representatives, we work with many people who spend a large amount of their life traveling,” said Jan Lederman, President of MAC Group. “The new Roadie Executive Backpack was built for the person who occasionally spends days on the road, and the only bag they will have with them most days is their briefcase backpack. You need space for everything, pockets to be organized, and it all needs to fit under the seat of an airplane.”
The exterior of the new Roadie Executive Backpack is made from water-repellant 1680 denier black ballistic nylon, and includes matte black YKK zippers with molded zipper pulls. There is a padded and ventilated shoulder harness at the rear, along with a built-in trolley strap to slide over the extending handle of rolling luggage, and a padded, reinforced handle at the top that is comfortable to carry even when the bag is fully loaded. The interior is made with ripstop nylon, with zippered window mesh pockets to carry loose items, and neoprene pockets for gadgets and larger accessories. Finally, the bag includes the same abrasion and water-resistant tarpaulin bottom panel that is used on other Tenba Roadie, Messenger and Discovery bags.
The slim design of this bag allows it to slide effortlessly beneath the seat on any airplane, and its quick access side pockets put a beverage (on the left) and your passport (in the right pocket) within easy reach.
The Roadie Executive Backpack is available immediately at a suggested retail price of $169.95. To find more information about Roadies, and to see a full video demonstration of all Tenba products, visit http://www.tenba.com.

Tenba press release:
Tenba Expands Popular Discovery Collection
New Top Load and Messenger bags are lightweight and built for all-day carrying comfort
Elmsford NY – October 3, 2011 – Leading the way in carrying solutions for over 30 years, Tenba announces another expansion of its popular Discovery collection of lightweight professional-level camera bags. Tenba has added the new Top Load and Photo/Laptop Messenger bags to further broaden a product line that has been designed with active outdoor photographers in mind. The Discovery Top Load is a clean and simple carrying solution for a single DSLR camera body with a mid-size zoom lens, while the Discovery Messenger fits a larger multi-lens camera system plus a tablet or laptop computer up to 13 inches.
“In search of comfort and convenience, photographers are carrying less equipment now than in previous years,” said Jan Lederman, President of MAC Group. “All-In-One zoom lenses, tablets and ultra-portable laptops are allowing people to significantly decrease the size and weight of the gear that hangs off their shoulders, and the Discovery Top Load and Messenger bags are designed to carry those smaller systems.”
The Discovery Top Load enables photographers to securely carry their bare essentials camera kit – perfect for day trips and quick photo shoots. The bag weighs only 16 ounces, yet it will fit a professional-size DSLR camera body up to the size of a Canon 5D or Nikon D700, plus a zoom lens up to five inches long (e.g. 24-70mm f/2.8), and then still offer room for extra batteries, memory cards and other important items.
For those photographers who need a slightly larger camera system, but still want comfort and less weight, the Discovery Messenger is ideal. The bag fits a DSLR camera body with 2-3 lenses and accessories, plus a tablet or laptop up to 13 inches. In addition, it has all the hallmarks of a great Messenger bag – lots of pockets, body-hugging design, and a removable photo insert so that the bag can be converted for non-photo, general-purpose use.
As with all Discovery bags, the Top Load and Messenger have a waterproof bottom panel for protection when the bag has to be put down on a wet surface, and they include Tenba’s exclusive WeatherWrap™ fast-deploying all-weather cover.
The new Discovery Top Load and Messenger bags are available now at suggested retail prices of $69.95 to $109.95 respectively. To find more information about these bags, and to see a full video demonstration of all Tenba products, visit www.tenba.com.
