In the video, Mark demonstrates how to use studio lights, gobos and grids to create a "film noir" scene using white seamless paper as the backdrop.

ISO 12233 resolution chart results for extenders have been added to the Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM Lens Review.
According to Canon, the EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM Lens is not compatible with extenders. Not fully compatible is correct, but ... extenders can indeed be used with this lens as proven by the 420mm and 600mm ISO 12233 chart results in this review.
If the 28-300 L is zoomed out to 50mm or longer, the rear element retracts into the lens far enough for the Canon 1.4x and 2x extenders to physically mount onto the lens. Once installed, zooming in to 50mm will result in physical contact between the front of the extender (likely the rubber ring surrounding the glass lens element) and the rear element of the lens. You obviously want to avoid this.
You will also likely want to avoid the image quality that the Canon EF 2x III Extender combo delivers at 600mm. The results are not pretty. At 600mm, this is an f/11 max aperture lens that will not AF even on a 1-Series body (tried it - AF didn't work). Better, but still not impressive are the results with the Canon EF 1.4x III Extender at 420mm where this is an f/8 max aperture lens. Autofocusing with the 1.4x attached is very, very slow and very frequently fails completely on the EOS 1Ds III being used for testing.
The extender and lens combo's focal length reported properly in EXIF, but the aperture did not.

In 2009, official White House photographer Pete Souza made history when he created the first presidential portrait ever created with a digital camera (a Canon EOS 5D Mark II).

I selected a batch of images captured on my Florida photography trip to share with you. This gallery is mostly water and birds, two subjects that Florida is well known for:
The range of bird species encountered on this trip was quite diverse. A diverse range of lenses accompanied me on this trip, but the Canon EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM Lens along with the Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens & Canon EF 2x III Extender combo took care of most of the bird action.

For convenience and reliability, we highly recommend that you apply this update directly from within Photoshop. To do so, choose Help > Updates in Photoshop CS6 and apply all of the updates listed under Adobe Photoshop CS6 in the Adobe Application Manager.
The Adobe Photoshop 13.0.4 update enables support for new HiDPI displays on the Macintosh platform for a dramatic improvement in image fidelity and resolution. This update applies to all languages of Adobe Photoshop CS6.

To install the Photoshop 13.0.4 update:
- Disable all virus protection software.
- Ensure that the folder on your hard drive containing Photoshop is named "Adobe Photoshop CS6."
- Double-click the "AdobePatchInstaller" application. If the updater reports that it cannot find the application to update, uninstall Photoshop CS6, and then reinstall the application (using the default folder name "Adobe Photoshop CS6"). To uninstall Photoshop, navigate to the "Applications/Utilites/Adobe Installers" folder and run "Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CS6" to remove the original installation of Photoshop. Once the removal is complete, reinstall Photoshop, and then run the updater.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.

January 17th begins a photographic and scientific expedition through the Arctic Circle organized by Polish Association of Amateur Astronomers and astronomy forum AstroCD. The point of the expedition is to observe, photograph and study aurora borealis in the area of Tromso in Norway. Equipment sponsorship is provided by Samyang's european lenses distributor.
Research project Samyang Aurora Expedition will take place between January 17 - 21. The expedition team of ten astronomers and photographers from the Polish Association of Amateur Astronomers of Katowice will conduct intensive studies of Earth's magnetosphere and aurora borealis appearance.
