I had one day to spend in Point Reyes National Seashore. Unfortunately, solid cloud cover blanketed my hopes for spectacular landscapes on this day. Cloudy skies do seem fitting for a wrecked boat I suppose.

If you don't like the currently available sky, move in so that it is not so prominent in the frame. Actually, moving in closer to your subject is often good advice even under great light.

Great Beach (or 10 Mile Beach) is a long, straight - and very windy - beach on the northwest side of Point Reyes National Seashore.

There are not a lot of trees on the coast in this area of Point Reyes National Seashore. The wind is obviously a detriment to their living here. This wind-bent tree makes an interesting silhouette for the Great Beach background.
