Full-Frame E-mount. As a part of the FE line of lenses, the FE 24mm f/1.4 GM is designed to cover the Sony a7-series cameras’ full-frame sensors. Using an APS-C camera? This E-mount lens is fully compatible and will provide a 36mm-equivalent focal length.

Versatile Wide-Angle Prime. When used on a full-frame camera, the FE 24mm f/1.4 GM’s fast aperture and wide angle make it perfect for landscape, nature, and street photography. The very fast f/1.4 aperture is excellent in low light and gives you superb depth-of-field control. Using an APS-C sensor camera? You’ll have a focal length equivalent to 36mm.

Direct-Drive Super Sonic Wave Motor Autofocus System. This internal-focusing system uses piezoelectric elements oscillating at ultrasonic frequencies to provide fast, highly accurate, and nearly silent autofocus performance that’s great for still and video use. You also get full-time manual focusing for precision adjustments.

G-Master Series Quality. The GM series is Sony’s premium lens offering. What sets it apart from other Sony lenses is an emphasis on an extremely high resolving power of fifty lines per mm, out-of-focus “bokeh” quality, and a robust, weather-sealed body.

Advanced Optics. The FE 24 f/1.4 GM features three extra-low dispersion elements and two “XA” extreme aspherical elements for minimizing chromatic aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range, and for producing clear, high-contrast images. Sony has applied a Nano AR coating to all of the lens elements to help reduce flare, ghosting, and surface reflections while increasing contrast and color accuracy, even in bright light. This lens’s rounded eleven-blade aperture diaphragm gives images smooth out-of-focus areas when you desire a shallow depth of field.
