Canon RF Mount. The Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM Z belongs to Canon’s line of RF-mount lenses. It’s compatible with Canon RF-mount cameras. but does not work with Canon EF-mount cameras.

Nano USM Autofocus. This autofocus system uses dual Nano USM motors to ensure fast, accurate, and nearly silent performance that’s great for photo and video applications. You also get full-time manual focusing, and an eleven-blade aperture that helps produce pleasing bokeh.

Advanced Optical Design. This lens’s 18-group/23-element optical design includes 4 Ultra-Low Dispersion elements and 3 aspherical elements which combine to reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations, color fringing, and distortion for maximum clarity, color accuracy, sharpness, and rendering. Super Spectra and Air Sphere coatings on the lens elements help minimize ghosting and flare.

Multiple Control Rings. The 24-105 is the first Canon RF-mount lens to include a stepless aperture ring, which lets you adjust exposure and background blur when capturing video with compatible cameras. Its smooth action is akin to what you’d find in a cine lens. The focus ring has soft click-stops to let you track focus adjustment, while the manual-focus ring lets you fine-tune your image.

High-Quality Build. This lens boasts a weather-resistant build that protects against the elements so you can use it in adverse conditions. Canon has applied a fluorine coating to the front element that keeps debris, water, oil, and fingerprints from sticking. Focusing and zooming are handled internally, which keeps the lens barrel from moving during those functions.
