When the lens arrived, it was not much different in size and weight to the others but the AF was a very nice change. The AF was quick and not really noticeable in sound level. Of course with the constant ringing in my ears due to tinnitus and working around jet engines much of my technical career, the focus motor would have to have been pretty loud to bother me. I mainly shoot landscapes, astrophotography and other non-human genres so focus motor noise is something I tend to overlook most of the time. The AF was always spot on and worked very well on both my Canon 6D Mark II DSLR as well as my mirrorless R5 using the various EF to RF adapters I have, being the standard adapter, the Control Ring adapter and the Meike Drop-In Filter adapter. Worked ok with them all. Image quality was typical of UWA, being sharp in the center with some softening at the edges and corners. But as the only processing I did to the files prior to examining them was to run the RAW files through DxO PureRAWv4 to create a JPG at 100%. I then compared that to the matching JPG image for that image number created in camera to see any differences since DxO applies noise correction to the image during process. Since DxO does not have a exact profile for the 6Dm2 and the Rokinon AF lens, I substituted the profile for the 14mm MF copy. Seemed to work satisfactorily. Bottom line, I was impressed with the lens's ability to resolve details well enough for my use, which would be for landscapes and panoramas. I did not try it with astrophotography.
All in all, if you don't have a nice 14mm f2. 8 lens, manual or AF, then this might be one that you should take a closer look at. Like I mentioned earlier, I already have a bunch of Rokinon 14mm f2. 8's that serve me well and I like MF photography, so I'm probably not going to persue this one any further. That is unless I find a killer deal too good to pass up. Read Less
