There is Never a Lack of Subjects for a Macro Lens

Macro lens subjects abound and finding colorful ones is never an issue. Simply open the kitchen cabinets or visit to local candy store.
 
This image was one of only a few I shot at a wide open f/2.8 aperture using this top-down perspective. Because the plane of sharp focus was placed over the surface of the candy, the overall image appears sharp. The candy in the next layer down, however, does not.
