From Sigma:

RONKONKOMA, N.Y., — October 10, 2013 — Sigma Corporation of America, a leading researcher, developer, manufacturer and service provider of some of the world’s most impressive lines of lenses, cameras and flashes, is thrilled to announce today that Sigma Pro and renowned fashion and editorial photographer, Lindsay Adler, will be featured in the Framed Networks’ newest online series, “The Concept.”

“The Concept” is a 6-episode series that will document Adler and fine art and conceptual photographer Brook Shaden as they take on the challenge of executing a surprised concept by the Framed Producers. Equipped with the same Sigma lenses, both photographers will be expected to shoot the same models in the same location, giving viewers the opportunity to see them plan a shoot from start to finish.

“We are proud and excited to be able to sponsor a program such as 'The Concept' that promotes and inspires photography while highlighting the talent and strategies of two amazing photographers,” said Christine Moossmann, Director of Marketing for Sigma Corporation of America. “Lindsay’s dedication to Sigma products has been steadfast, so we knew this would be a great opportunity to showcase the ability of our products. We hadn’t had the opportunity to work with Brooke before, but her works speaks volumes and we were excited to get our products in her hands.”

During each episode, a different individual will be selected to accompany Adler and Shaden as an assistant producer. These assistant producers then get to be a part of the entire production, seeing things uncut and learning new techniques.

“Sigma is an incredible company for so many reasons. Not only do they produce great quality lenses that photographers can afford, but they also actively support photographic education. They help make beautiful imagery accessible to everyone,” said Lindsay Adler. “I was happy to be able to put these lenses to work for “The Concept” so people could see the lenses in action making amazing images.”

To show its commitment to students and professors of photography, Sigma University was created, which offers participants not only special savings on Sigma lenses, cameras, and accessories, but also seminars, training, and special events on Sigma products hosted at participating dealers.

“Sigma is passionate about photography, and nothing is more important to us than nurturing photographers of all skill levels and interests. Sponsoring programs like 'The Concept' is crucial in helping to develop a photographer’s skill, such as choosing the right equipment for their needs and ambitions, inspiring them and overall, providing photographic education,” said Christine Moossmann, Director of Marketing for Sigma Corporation of America.
