The Canon WFT-E6A & WFT-E7A Wireless Transmitters allow for wireless tethering with compatible cameras such as the EOS 1D X and 1D C. Unfortunately, neither is an inexpensive accessory. However, photographer William Bennett has posted a guide for enabling wireless tethering on a Canon EOS-1D X DSLR Camera for a lot less - well under $100.00 if you already own a portable power source.

Check out William Bennett's step-by-step directions on his blog.

Tools Used in the Guide:

We haven't tested it, but a battery-powered wireless router may make the costly external power supply unnecessary. [Sean]

Sample pictures have been added to the Canon EOS Rebel T4i / 600D and Canon EF-S 18-135mm IS STM Lens reviews.

I know, those reviews were completed long ago. It's just that I finally was able to take the time necessary to get the photos onto the site. Both sets of pictures are the same - just view one of the galleries.

From DxO:

DxO ViewPoint v1.2 optimizes the workflow for photographers using Adobe® Photoshop® and Lightroom® and makes getting started easier

May 2, 2013 ? DxO Labs announces the immediate availability of DxO ViewPoint v1.2, the new version of its software dedicated to correcting distortions caused by wide-angle lenses and to redressing keystoning and other perspective problems. DxO ViewPoint v1.2 offers a new save feature that provides a more fluid workflow for users of Adobe® Photoshop® and Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom®, and has added more sample images to help less-experienced users get started more quickly.

DxO ViewPoint easily restores the natural shapes of subjects located on the edges of images ? a distortion known as ?volume anamorphosis? ? and accurately corrects keystoning and other perspective problems frequently found in architectural and landscape photos. Based on DxO Labs? exclusive geometrical corrections, DxO ViewPoint provides simple visual tools as well as advanced controls for applying spectacular corrections with unparalleled accuracy.

DxO ViewPoint can be used as a standalone application for Mac and Windows and as a plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop® CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, and for Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 3 and 4.

Improved productivity

Now even easier to use, DxO ViewPoint v1.2 provides a new feature that allows photographers to save the correction settings for any given image and to reapply them later.

In the plug-in versions for Adobe® Photoshop® and Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom®, this feature provides a new, more fluid workflow: photographers can reapply their corrections in just a single click even after going back and modifying their image in their host application.

In the standalone version, this feature significantly improves productivity, in that corrections can be saved and applied successively to other photos with identical problems.

Get started even faster

To help users get started even faster, DxO ViewPoint v1.2 includes more examples that show photographers how to choose and use the most appropriate tools for correcting their photos.

DxO ViewPoint v1.2's Help menu gives users direct access to DxO Academy, a veritable online learning center offering tutorials and webinars to help photographers fully benefit from all of the features of DxO Labs' solutions.

Powerful and efficient

DxO ViewPoint is the only solution that fixes volume anamorphosis. This automatic correction takes into account the shooting parameters, but leaves users free to adjust the intensity of the correction if they want.

DxO ViewPoint is also the only solution on the market that corrects even the most complex kinds of perspective problems. In addition to its great ease of use, the software also offers automatic cropping to help preserve image proportions for a more natural look.

Thanks to its exclusive features and the freedom its advanced settings offer, DxO ViewPoint helps photographers obtain powerful and lifelike images without having to rely on costly and heavy-to-carry photographic equipment.

Powerful and efficient

DxO ViewPoint v1.2 is now available for Windows and Mac at authorized photo resellers and www.dxo.com.

This upgrade is free for all owners of DxO ViewPoint v1.0. A fully-functional trial version of DxO ViewPoint v1.2, good for one month, is available on the DxO Labs website.
