From Think Tank Photo:

Think Tank Photo Announces Airport 4-Sight Roller

Santa Rosa, Calif. – Think Tank Photo announces that in May it will release its first four-wheeled rolling camera bag, the Airport 4-Sight™. The Airport 4-Sight meets international airline carry-on standards. The roller’s weight has been reduced dramatically through innovative design and by a strict focus on the features that photographers find most beneficial.

With professional photography gear not getting any lighter, Think Tank set out to design a more ergonomic roller to reduce fatigue and strain on traveling photographers. Walking a four-wheeler alongside one’s self is easier than pulling it behind or carrying it over a shoulder. Putting the bags weight on four-wheels eliminates arm strain and makes rolling effortless.

Four-wheelers are superior on many smooth surfaces. On thick carpet, the Airport 4-Sight leans over to perform as a traditional two-wheel roller. It has the added benefit of rolling sideways on two wheels to easily navigate tight spaces, such as airline aisles.

Features Include:

  • High capacity. Holds Pro DSLRs with four to five lenses.
  • Integrated removable Think Tank Cable Management organizer.
  • Side hinged lid opens bag completely for quick and unencumbered access to gear.
  • Two-position locking handle for comfort and ergonomics.
  • Zippered top pocket for boarding pass.
  • Lockable zipper sliders on main compartment.
  • Reinforced bottom panel for increased durability.
  • User replaceable handle and wheels.
  • Seam sealed rain cover included.
  • YKK RC-fused™ zippers.

“The Airport 4-Sight is in a class by itself,” said Doug Murdoch, Think Tank Photo’s co-founder and lead designer. “It appeals to frequent flyers or anyone who seeks ease in transporting gear. Smart design features like reduced overall weight and increased maneuverability, ergonomics and capacity make this rolling camera bag a breakthrough in the industry.”

Specifications

Internal Dimensions: 12.3” W x 16” H x 5–6.7” D (31.2 x 40.6 x 12.7–17 cm)
External Dimensions: 14” W x 19.5” H x 8” D (35.6 x 49.5 x 20.3 cm)
Weight: 7–8.9 lbs (3.2–4 kg)

From Think Tank Photo:

We just released solutions for carrying those smaller items that tend to rattle around and get lost in your bags and pockets. These include Credential Holder, an AA Battery Holder, a Passport Holder, and Large and Small Travel Pouches.

Credential Holder
Our new Credential Holder features a clear window that always keeps credentials of various sizes in view, an adjustable neck strap, a zippered business card pocket on the front flap, a roomy interior pocket that fits a smart phone, and a back side that has two pen pockets and a pocket that fits a reporter's pad or small note pad. Exterior dimensions: 5.7" W x 7" H x 0.3" D (14.5 x 17.8 x 0.8cm). Weight: 0.1lbs (0.05kg).

AA Battery Holder
Small AA batteries are one of those accessories that tend to fall to the bottom of whatever bag you're using. With the new AA Battery Holder, you can store eight AA batteries in a soft, compact case that folds in half and is easy to find. Exterior Dimensions: 3" W x 3" H x 0.5" D (7.6 x 7.6 x 1.3cm). Passport Holder
If you travel a lot, especially in humid or inclement weather, you know how beaten up your passport gets. With our new Passport Holder you can carry one passport, airline ticket, credit cards and other identification in a sleek leather case. It features a front pocket for airline ticket stubs and three small pockets for additional identification, coffee gift cards, frequent flyer membership cards, and the like. External dimensions: 3.8" W x 5.5" H x 0.5" D (9.7 x 14 x 1.3cm). Weight: 0.1lbs (0.05kg).

Travel Pouch-Large
When forced to mix photo gear and clothing in a roller or backpack, your clothing often gets wedged into a corner. The new Travel Pouch-Large is designed to hold your clothing and other items you want to protect in a lightweight and soft pouch. It folds easily when empty and the mesh front keeps the enclosed items visible. It features a webbing carrying handle. External dimensions: 11.5" W x 15.5" H x 3" D (29.2 x 39.4 x 7.6cm). Weight: 0.3lbs (0.1kg).

From Think Tank Photo:

When getting the shot requires extreme body movements, there are few sensations more annoying than having your gear slapping against your chest. To solve this problem, we have released the Backpack Connection Kit.

This accessory strap kit is designed to keep the body and lens stored in your Digital Holster stationary and snug against the torso. Carrying a Digital Holster V2.0 chest-mounted allows rapid access to the DSLR inside it while protecting the camera from dust and damage. The straps of the specially designed Backpack Connection Kit keep the Holster bag and DSLR from sagging or shifting weight during continuous movement.

In the Backpack Connection Kit video, Kurt Rogers explains how to attach the Think Tank Photo Backpack Connection Kit to a backpack, in order to carry a Digital Holster V2.0 bag on the backpack harness. The Backpack Connection Kit attaches to any Think Tank Photo backpack and the Digital Holster V2.0 series of camera bags.

From Think Tank Photo:

NEWLY REDESIGNED HYDROPHOBIA® 300-600 RELEASED

We have upgraded our rain cover for super telephoto lenses, the Hydrophobia 300-600. The Hydrophobia 300-600 V2.0 pre-mounts to the lens hood to be quickly deployed during inclement weather. If bad weather is intermittent, the rain cover can stay in the pre-mounted position but pulled out to cover the camera when needed. The rain cover now offers a larger clear window on back for increased view of the camera and LCD screen. Version 2.0 also features a tethered lens hood cover to keep moisture or debris from hitting the front lens element, while the camera is not being used.

For smaller lenses up to a 70-200 we also have the Hydrophobia® 70-200 and the Hydrophobia® Flash 70-200 with built-in flash protector. They feature side arm holes for focusing and accessing switches. And now, without exposing your expensive bodies and lenses to the elements, you can change memory cards and batteries without taking off the rain covers. The external Camera Strap (included) eliminates the need to remove the strap attached to the camera body. Click here for a video showing the Hydrophobia 70-200 in action.

NEWLY REDESIGNED CAMERA STRAPS RELEASED

We have completely redesigned our Camera Straps. The Camera Strap V2.0 features non-slip material on both sides so the strap will not slip off the shoulder, even if the strap is upside down! Designed for less bulk and increased portability, the Camera Strap V2.0 also attaches to Think Tank backpacks and harnesses by using the Camera Support Straps (sold separately).

Think Tank Photo Urban Disguise V2.0
Think Photo Digital Holster V2.0

Think Photo Digital Holsters are one of my most-used cases. This case is very easy to take with you and provides good protection for the camera and lens - while allowing quick access. "A feature new to V2.0 is the built-in side attachment system compatible with most Modular, Skin, or Multimedia components" solves a remaining need I had for these cases and makes them much more functional.
