The Wimberley P50 Lens Plate is one of the finest lens plates available. The P50 is designed for the largest super telephoto lenses such as the Canon EF 400mm f/2.8 IS L Lens.

A lens plate such as the Wimberley P50 Lens Plate is used to connect a super telephoto lens to a tripod head such as the Arca Swiss B1 Ballhead, Wimberley Sidekick or the Wimberley Gimbal Tripod Head. The lens plate attaches solidly to the tripod collar on the lens.

Since the P50 (and all other Wimberley Lens Plates) features a double-dovetailed design, accessories can be attached above or below the plate. The plate/clamp design creates a convenient and solid attachment setup.

The P50 is a long lens plate - it gives the ability to make large adjustments for proper balance and accessory attachment.
