Lowepro unveils a weather-protective, streamlined and easy-access carrying solution for DLSR enthusiasts and outdoor photographers with its new toploading camera bag series.

(Sebastopol, CA, February 19, 2010) – Lowepro, the leading brand of protective gear for photography equipment and portable electronics, launches its new toploading holster-style series, Toploader Zoom AW. Inspired by the top-of-the-line Toploader Pro AW series, the Toploader Zoom AW design is ideal for a day of outdoor activities, travel or sports.
"This toploading series is purpose built for those enthusiasts who are passionate about their photographic pursuits," said Tim Grimmer, Lowepro product manager. "We filled it with the type of pro-style details that an advanced or casual shooter will appreciate—like weather protection, a shape that aligns with the body and handy access and storage functions," he added.
The Toploader Zoom AW includes Lowepro's patented All Weather AW Cover™. It snugly fits over the bag—like a raincoat—and can be tucked away when the weather improves. Water-resistant nylon paired with lightweight performance fabrics provide all-over protection and scratch resistance to the bag's exterior.
The streamlined, holster-style profile makes the Toploader Zoom AW easy to wear as a shoulder bag or on a belt. And its compact shape conveniently slips into a larger bag for travel.
An easy-access lid opens away from the body to provide full access to camera gear when a photographer is setting up a shot or in motion.
The two larger models of Toploader Zoom AW include Lowepro's SlipLock™ attachment loop system (one on 50 AW and two on 55 AW) for adding compatible lens cases, point & shoot camera pouches or a water bottle bag. The same models include four durable, plastic D-rings that may be used with Lowepro's Topload Chest Harness (sold separately).
Additional features include: a fully padded interior that's customizable with a horizontal divider to separate an extra lens from the camera (included in 50 AW and 55 AW models); interior zipper pocket to store extra memory, UV filter or spare battery; exterior zippered storage pocket; integrated belt loop; padded grab handle; plus a detachable and adjustable shoulder strap.
The Toploader Zoom AW series is available in three sizes and two colors: Toploader Zoom 45 AW, Toploader Zoom 50 AW and Toploader Zoom 55 AW in Black or Sea Blue.
All colors & sizes may not be available in all countries. Check with your local distributor for availability.
