Foreground-Shadowed Field

When composing an image, deciding what to exclude is just as important as deciding what to include. For this picture, I included a base of shadowed grass. The shadowed grass and non-shadowed grass combined consume about 1/3 of the frame – an amount that often works well for a landscape image. What was included in the balance of this frame was determined by what I felt provided the best overall balance.
