Snow Plant, Yosemite National Park

An unusual plant found in Yosemite National Park is the snow plant. The snow plant, lacking any green for photosynthesis, feeds on fungi found in the soil. It often grows in the snow.
 
I was able to get even lighting on the forest floor by shooting well after sunset.
