A rain-wetted road winds through the Lodgepole Pines in Yellowstone National Park. While the roads in the park are currently in good condition, vehicle travel can be dangerous. Sharp roadside drop-offs become and even greater challenge when approaching motorists (some in large motorhomes) are looking at sites other than the 2-lane roadway. A surprise summer hailstorm coated the road in a layer of ice balls on this trip.
