Yellowstone Thermal Pool

Brightly-colored thermal pools such as this one are not hard to find in Yellowstone National Park, but creating good images takes more work. Keeping man-made objects (signs, walkways, ...) and unknown people out of the picture is the first challenge. Of course, either or both can add to a picture at times. A circular polarizer filter cuts reflections from the water which lets the natural color come through.
