Amazon is now saying "Usually ships within 2 to 4 weeks" on the Canon EF 500mm f/4 L IS II USM Lens page. Previously, no shipping estimate was provided.
 
While on this topic, more information about the availability of the Canon EF 200-400mm f/4 L IS USM Ext 1.4x Lens is expected this summer.
