DxO ViewPoint v1.2 optimizes the workflow for photographers using Adobe® Photoshop® and Lightroom® and makes getting started easier

May 2, 2013 ? DxO ViewPoint v1.2 offers a new save feature that provides a more fluid workflow for users of Adobe® Photoshop® and Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom®, and has added more sample images to help less-experienced users get started more quickly.

DxO ViewPoint easily restores the natural shapes of subjects located on the edges of images ? a distortion known as ?volume anamorphosis? ? and accurately corrects keystoning and other perspective problems frequently found in architectural and landscape photos. Based on DxO Labs? exclusive geometrical corrections, DxO ViewPoint provides simple visual tools as well as advanced controls for applying spectacular corrections with unparalleled accuracy.

DxO ViewPoint can be used as a standalone application for Mac and Windows and as a plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop® CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, and for Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 3 and 4.

Improved productivity

Now even easier to use, DxO ViewPoint v1.2 provides a new feature that allows photographers to save the correction settings for any given image and to reapply them later.

In the plug-in versions for Adobe® Photoshop® and Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom®, this feature provides a new, more fluid workflow: photographers can reapply their corrections in just a single click even after going back and modifying their image in their host application.

In the standalone version, this feature significantly improves productivity, in that corrections can be saved and applied successively to other photos with identical problems.

From DxO:

01/23/2013 - Version 1.1.1 of DxO ViewPoint, the software solution entirely dedicated to correcting keystoning as well as deformations caused by the use of wide-angle lenses, fixes various minor problems caused by extreme perspective corrections.

Based on DxO Labs’ advanced geometrical corrections, DxO ViewPoint corrects the distortion of the subjects on the edges of images — known as “volume anamorphosis” — due to the use of short focal lengths (as with wide-angle lenses). DxO ViewPoint also lets users correct the most complex kinds of perspective problems, including keystoning, without having to resort to costly shift lenses. Each of these features includes advanced fine-tuning controls to achieve the highest correction precision.

DxO ViewPoint can be used as a standalone application for Mac and Windows, and as a plugin for Adobe® Photoshop® CS3, CS4, CS5, CS6, and Adobe® Photoshop® Lightroom® 3 and 4.

DxO ViewPoint v1.1 – Restoring the natural proportions and perspectives of your photos has gotten even easier

Special 35% discount through December 25, 2012

December 11, 2012 – DxO Labs announces the immediate availability of DxO ViewPoint v1.1, the new version of its software solution for Windows and Mac, entirely dedicated to correcting keystoning, as well as shape deformations caused by the use of wide-angle lenses. DxO ViewPoint v1.1 improves the accuracy of its perspective and cropping tools, as well as its speed, for an even better user experience.

Based on DxO Labs’ advanced geometrical corrections, DxO ViewPoint corrects the distortion of the subjects on the edges of images — known as “volume anamorphosis” — due to the use of short focal lengths (as with wide-angle lenses). DxO ViewPoint also lets users correct the most complex kinds of perspective problems, including keystoning, without having to resort to costly shift-lenses. More accurate tools

DxO ViewPoint v1.1 provides improved keystoning correction tools and more precise automatic recropping.

It is now possible to move grid lines directly in the image without having to reposition each anchor point; with this, the anchor points, as well as the slider settings, can now be directly and very precisely moved by using the keyboard.

The cropping tool now automatically detects the image’s orientation and is also more easily adjustable.

Faster for an enhanced user experience

Even easier to use, DxO ViewPoint v1.1 is now faster and offers several new features to improve workflow.

A new rotation function allows images to be correctly oriented, even when their EXIF data has been damaged.

A shortcut allows users to go from one zoom level to another, and automatically displays the Hand and Arrow tools, depending on the magnification of the image.

The application has also enhanced the recent Close and Open functions in the menus, and now alerts the user when a keystoning correction cannot be applied to the image.
