I wanted to spend a few minutes wrapping up our Canon Lens Recommendations Week. We have just spent over a week looking at the best Canon lenses for a variety of needs. I hope that you have learned something useful - Please share these recommendation pages when the opportunity presents itself.
You can find all of these recommendations on the site's Canon Lens Information and Recommendations page.
Is there a significant lens recommendations category that you want to see added to the list? Go over to Facebook or Google+ and let us know!
Sorry Donovan, the "Indoor Chess Tournament Lens" category is not likely going to be popular enough to warrant its own page. :)

Then go over to our Facebook page ("Like" us while there) and let me know which lenses you think I missed!
It is hard to overlook the amazing scenery all around us. And capturing those amazing views is what many of us have cameras for. As with most photogrpahy pursuits, the right lens can make a significant difference in your landscape photography results.
Today we are looking at Landscape Lens Recommendations.
While some wildlife is tolerant of human presence (and some is captive), much of the world's wildlife remains elusive. It would prefer that you were in the next county. Lenses that allow you to remain far from the subject tend to rule the wildlife photography category.
Today I introduce the Wildlife Lens Recommendations page.
When your current lens does not make your subject large enough in the frame, you need a macro lens. And even if your current lens will focus close enough to your subject, you may want a macro lens anyway - perhaps for the excellent image quality that they deliver. Perhaps for use as a portrait lens. Perhaps for use in low light. Or just to unleash your creativity.
Today's segment of Lens Recommendations Week features Canon Macro Lens Recommendations.
OK, I list the top 13, but "Top 10" sounded like a better headline to me.
Most lenses can be used for sports, but if you want to capture something other than a bunch of people running perpendicular to you across a field, you are going to need the right lens.

The big day I'm referring to is the wedding day of course. While this day is a blip on our lifetime radar, it is a big special day to the bride, groom and their family & friends. And if you are responsible for their wedding pictures, you best have the right gear.

Today's lens recommendations are for those needed to capture your most important subjects - people. Check out my Canon Portrait Lens Recommendations.
I'm of course generalizing on lens acquisition priority, but after getting a general purpose lens and telephoto lens, most people look next to add an ultra wide angle lens to their kit. Thus, the third page unveiled in "Lens Recommendations Week" is the Canon Wide Angle Lens Recommendations page.
Check back tomorrow for a more-specific-use lens recommendation.
Your second-most important lens is probably your telephoto zoom. So it only makes sense that the Canon Telephoto Zoom Lens recommendations page is released second in our long week of suggestions. These lenses cover a very wide range of uses, providing great utility to the kit they join.
A focal length range example is included along with a handful of recommendations covering a wide range of prices.
OK - There will be enough new/updated pages to cover a week and a half. So I'm starting this "week" on a Wednesday.
It is Spring in the northern hemisphere and we are ready to end hibernation and to start filling memory cards. Spring sports have started and I *think* the grass is showing a hint of green-ness. Leaves will soon be pushing out and the landscape will take on a new attractiveness.
The Canon lens recommendation pages on the site were showing some age, so I'm going to be announcing updates and additions all this "week". Hopefully you can find a cure to that Spring Fever amid these pages.
To get started, the General Purpose Lens Recommendations page update is now live.
The general purpose zoom is probably the most-used and most-important lens in your kit. It should be the highest quality model you can afford.
