New Cards Provide High-Performance Capture, Play Back, and Transfer of Photo Files and 1080p Full-HD, 3D, and 4K video

Milpitas, CA – Lexar, a leading global brand of flash memory products, today announced the new Lexar Professional 1000x microSDHC and microSDXC UHS-II cards, offering read transfer speeds up to 150MB per second.* Designed for sports camcorders, tablets, and smartphones, the new microSD cards leverage Ultra High Speed II (U3) to provide faster capture, play back, and transfer of photo and video files. The cards are also an excellent choice for photographers needing multiple memory cards for extended use to capture aerial content with a quadcopter.

Available in 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB capacities, Professional 1000x microSD UHS-II cards can quickly capture, play back, and transfer extended lengths of the highest quality 1080p full-HD, 3D, and 4K video, making it easy to preserve more than 15 hours of your greatest moments and then relive the action.*** As with all Lexar Professional cards, a lifetime copy of Image Rescue software is included to recover any lost or deleted files, and each card is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.****

“As the many uses for microSD cards grow and evolve, we want to provide users with the best possible workflow solution,” said Adam Kaufman, director of memory card product marketing, Lexar. “The Lexar Professional 1000x microSD UHS-II cards allow users to enjoy the benefits of the latest UHS-II devices, while also performing at the maximum speed threshold of UHS-I devices, and provide exceptionally fast file transfer when used with the included reader. Whether it’s with a tablet, smartphone, or quadcopter, the new Professional 1000x microSD UHS-II cards will capture and move content faster than ever before.”

“While the new UHS-II technology allows us to boost read performance in our microSD product line by more than 50%, we’ve retained full backward compatibility to older SD 2.0 and UHS-I SDR-104 hosts, allowing consumers to have full use in older devices while benefitting from the higher read speeds of the new interface,” said Wes Brewer, vice president and general manager, Lexar. “This ability, combined with a unique reader, sets the high performance Lexar Professional microSD cards miles apart from others in the market.”

The Professional 1000x microSDHC and microSDXC UHS-II cards are backwards compatible with UHS-I cameras and readers at UHS-I speeds, as well as non-UHS-I devices at Class 10 speeds. Lexar SDXC 256GB 600x Memory Card

From Lexar:

Lexar High-Performance 600x UHS-I Memory Card Offers High Performance to Dramatically Accelerate Workflow

New 256GB SDXC UHS-I Card Captures, Stores, and Transfers High-Quality Photos and Extended Lengths of Full-HD Video

Fremont, CA, January 7, 2013 – Lexar, a leading global brand of flash memory products, today announced the 256GB Lexar® Professional 600x SDXC™ UHS-I card. The Class 10 card offers a 90MB* per second minimum guaranteed read transfer speed to give photographers and videographers the ability to capture extended lengths of 1080p HD and 3D video and high-quality images. When paired with a compatible card reader, such as the Lexar® Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Reader, the Professional 600x SDXC card helps photographers zip through post-production with high-speed card-to-computer file transfer, improving workflow and enabling them to shoot longer.

“With the growing demands of HD and 3D video capabilities, today’s professional photographers and videographers need to be equipped with a high-performance and high-capacity memory card to meet the needs of their clients,” said Manisha Sharma, director of product marketing, Lexar. “By using the 256GB Lexar Professional SDXC UHS-I card, professionals can leverage all the latest camera features available for capturing high-quality video and images, without having to worry about time spent changing cards or transferring content to the computer. We want our customers to make the most of their time out on the field.”

“Small capacity cards are not efficient for shooting a lot of HD and 3D video. Constantly having to change cards eats away at time spent behind the camera, and also means I’ll have to spend more time transferring the content from each card to my computer,” said Lexar Elite Photographer David Honl. “Lexar cards help improve my workflow by giving me the mix of capacity and performance that allows me to shoot longer and spend less time transferring my videos and images.”

The Lexar Professional 600x 256GB SDXC UHS-I card includes the latest downloadable version of Image Rescue® 4 software to help recover lost or deleted photo and video files, even if they’ve been erased or the card has been corrupted.** All Lexar memory card designs are tested in the Lexar Quality Labs to ensure performance, quality, compatibility, and reliability with more than 800 digital cameras and memory card devices. The Professional 600x SDXC UHS-I card comes with a limited lifetime warranty and free dedicated professional technical support.

The 256GB Lexar Professional 600x SDXC UHS-I card will be available in January for purchase with an MSRP of $999.99 from Lexar.com and leading retail and e-tail outlets worldwide. For additional information about Lexar Professional products, visit www.lexar.com.
