Delkin CF 1050X CompactFlash Memory Card
From Delkin:

Poway, CA. September 19, 2013 – Delkin Devices is proud to announce the newest addition to their extensive product line of CompactFlash memory cards, the CF 1050X UDMA 7 Cinema memory card. With improved read and write speeds, Delkin’s 1050X Cinema card guarantees smooth, continuous recording and playback on DSLR cameras, especially ones that record in 4K.

Delkin’s CF 1050X is a specialized cinema memory card that's designed to excel in high-end recording equipment, such as 4K cameras and digital backs. Capable of recording data at speeds up to 120 MB/s, the 1050X is Delkin’s fastest card to date and is able to keep up with the most demanding digital cinematography requirements. “With 4K being adopted more each year, there is a growing need among filmmakers for memory cards that are fast enough to smoothly capture UltraHD video footage” explains Marketing Manager Anna Lopez. “With Delkin’s CF 1050X Cinema cards, filmmakers can confidently know that all of their footage will be captured in its entirety, without dropped frames.”

The 1050X is approved to work in high-end cameras that support 4K UltraHD recording, such as Canon’s EOS-1D C and C500; undergoing thorough testing to ensure compatibility and flawless performance. To record footage in 4K at 24fps, the Canon 1D C requires memory cards that are UDMA 7 and have a minimum write speed of 100 MB/s. Cards with a write speed less than 100 MB/s will either drop frames during filming or stop recording. The 1050X also works on digital file recorders, like AJA’s Ki Pro Mini.

The CF 1050X Cinema card also helps improve user workflow by reducing the amount of time it takes to transfer files from card to computer. With a read speed of 160 MB/s, the 1050X saves time and allows you to work on other project-related tasks. As the file size for 4K footage is significantly larger than 1080p, Delkin’s cards are built to transfer files quickly and efficiently, so that you can utilize your time to the fullest. No longer will you have to wait hours before you can start editing footage.

Unlike memory cards that are mass-built in overseas facilities, Delkin’s CF 1050X UDMA 7 Cinema memory cards are built with carefully chosen and controlled components to increase longevity, reliability and overall quality. All of Delkin’s memory cards are designed, engineered, and built in the U.S. and are covered under our Lifetime Warranty.

Delkin’s CompactFlash product line also includes our 500X (Good), 700X (Better), and 1000X (Best) memory cards. The CF 1050X Cinema card is now available and comes in the following capacities: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Retail prices for each capacity are $139.95, $299.95, and $639.95 respectively and can be purchased via Delkin.com or any Delkin authorized retailer.

Delkin Introduces Lightest, Least Expensive Carbon Fiber Monopod and Tripod

Poway, CA. November 5, 2012 – Delkin Devices is proud to announce the newest additions to their extensive Fat Gecko product line, the Fat Gecko Monopod and Tripod. Both made of carbon fiber material, the Fat Gecko Monopod & Tripod are the lightest, most durable, and inexpensive Carbon Fiber products currently on the market. All components of the Fat Gecko Tripod and Monopod, including the carbon fiber and steel parts, are made in America.

The Fat Gecko Monopod is made of 8 layers of carbon fiber using a Z-weave pattern. It is highly durable and sturdy, making it able to hold up to 30lbs without bending. In addition, its folded height of 16 inches and weight of only ¾ lb. makes the monopod easy and convenient to carry around. The monopod can reach a height of 57 inches when assembled. Carbon Fiber will also neither corrode nor rust, and is not affected by heat, cold or sun. Its unique 5-section design also allows the monopod to set up and break down in a matter of seconds. Simply unstrap the monopod and it will practically assemble itself. For extra stability, a metal spike, with removable rubber stopper, is built into the bottom of the leg for use on either rocky or uneven ground. The Fat Gecko Monopod and Tripod both come with a standard ¼”-20 locking ball head, which is compatible with all DSLR, Video and Action cameras. The head is removable, meaning that any brand of head on the market can be mounted on a 3/8” post.

The Fat Gecko Tripod is made of 7 layers of carbon fiber, using the same Z-weave pattern, and can hold up to 30 lbs. It can also fold down to 22 inches, reach up to 67 inches when the middle column is fully extended, and weighs in at only 1 lb. Like the monopod, the tripod’s unique 3-section design allows it to set up and break down in a matter of seconds.

The Fat Gecko Monopod and Tripod are available now at Delkin.com, B&H, Adorama and many other quality camera stores worldwide. Retail price for the Fat Gecko Tripod is $119.99, while the Fat Gecko Monopod is priced at $69.99. Retail prices may vary. Delkin’s Fat Gecko product line, distinguished for its versatile photography mounting equipment, includes over a dozen other products that guarantee “Impossible Shots, Made Possible.”

Delkin press release:

Delkin Ships Fastest CF Memory Card in the World.

Poway, CA. August 24, 2011 – Today Delkin Devices, Inc. announced their much anticipated ruggedized waterproof CF memory cards boasting the fastest read and write speeds in the world. The new cards are available in capacities ranging from 8GB up to 64GB and are capable of transferring pictures, video, music and more at speeds up to 685X, or 103MB/s. In addition to impressive speed performance, the cards are fully compatible with advanced HD and 3D video recording modes including slow motion recording.

“Since we launched our initial CombatFlash lineup of CF cards in 2010 we’ve had fantastic success among professional photographers and videographers,” explains Marketing Manager, Anna Lopez. “Unlike a traditional CF memory card, the CombatFlash PCB is protected with a Tekta infusion process that enables the card to achieve phenomenal reliability and performance in environments where a normal CF card would typically fail. The card is protected from underwater submersion, solid impact, corrosion, rust & more. That reliability equals a day of production that doesn’t need to be reshot, or a climb up Mount Everest that is captured reliably. It equals invaluable peace of mind.”

The new CombatFlash685 card includes the same ruggedized qualities as it’s 625X predecessor, but adds more than 10MB/s in speed performance and the ability to shoot in over cranking mode (or slow motion recording) with Canon’s XF series HD camcorders, including the trending XF305, XF300, XF105 and XF100 models.

Lopez states, “Sophisticated cinema recording applications like Slow & Fast Motion and HD infrared capabilities are increasingly being utilized on a regular basis. Delkin’s US engineering staff is consistently heightening their standards to not only keep up with the evolving equipment, but to also anticipate future breakthroughs that will require exceedingly fast and high quality memory.”

Delkin’s CombatFlash memory remains the only consumer flash storage brand built to comply with MIL-STD-810 specification. Extreme environmental testing has rated the CombatFlash CF line to remain fully operable anywhere between 0°C to 70°C, while soldered and sealed internal components and advanced wear leveling & error correction features manage data continuously to ensure data integrity and card longevity.

CombatFlash685 CF memory is supported by Delkin’s trusted lifetime warranty and U.S. based support center, available by phone on working days between 8am-5pm PST. This innovative product, along with Delkin’s complete lineup of imaging accessories, can be found at digital camera retailers worldwide, as well as direct from www.delkin.com for retail prices ranging from $149.99 for an 8GB card to $899.99 for a 64GB card. CombatFlash 625X memory is also available for purchase for a limited time, with 4-16GB capacities retailing from $79.99–$229.99.

Fastest 64GB Secure Digital UHS-I Card in the World Records up to 8 Hours of Streaming HD & 3D Video

Poway, CA. June 27th, 2011- Today Delkin Devices began shipping the fastest SDXC UHS-I memory card in the world. The new 64GB 633X rated card is designed for streaming HD and 3D video applications where speed and capacity are imperative and is the fourth capacity to be added to their recently introduced family of UHS-I memory cards.

"As camcorders are moving towards flash memory storage and away from tape, we're simultaneously seeing a strong trend in videographers utilizing HD video capabilities in DSLRs," explains Marketing Manager, Anna Lopez. "Standard SD memory cards are more than fast enough for typical applications but not nearly fast enough to keep up with the large amount of data that HD video requires, particularly when shooting a feature film or longer movie clip. Our new 64GB Elite633 card is able to record at speeds up to 45 megabytes per second and read at speeds up to 95 megabytes per second which eliminates any pause to the recording process that users experience with slower cards."

Elite633 SDHC and SDXC cards feature transfer speeds tripling previous Secure Digital Class 10 capabilities to accommodate the most sophisticated High Definition and 3D imaging enabled equipment on the market. Defined by the SD Association as enabling transfers up to 104 Megabytes per second, this Ultra High Speed Bus-Interface is quickly being integrated into applications like JPG & RAW burst-mode photography and real-time broadcast & streaming video.

Delkin's newest Elite633 card is capable of recording up to 8 hours of high definition video or capturing more than 17,000 photos in SDXC enabled cameras, camcorders and host devices. Because SDXC memory cards utilize an exFAT format they are not compatible with older non SDXC devices or operating systems. Advanced features like reliable Error Correction Code, Wear Leveling, and storage integrity in harsh conditions (like exposure to static, vibration, shock & UV light) remain. Like all Delkin memory cards, the company's US based technical support staff is available to offer free data recovery services and support for the lifetime of the product. Cards begin shipping direct from Delkin as of today to specialty photo and video retailers worldwide for a retail price of $539.99.

What's on Your Sensor and How is it Affecting Your Images? Delkin's SensorScope System Boasts Upgrades and a Newly Issued Patent

Poway, CA. June 24th, 2011- Today Delkin announced new upgrades as well as a cleared patent (#7,805,070 B2) on their award winning SensorScope® DSLR Sensor Inspection Device and Cleaning System. The inspection tool, which has sold over 50,000 units since September of 2006, utilizes enhanced magnification and LED illumination to present a quick and clear view of a DSLR image sensor before every shoot.

"Particles of dust, lint and debris on a sensor show up as dark specs and lines in image and video capture," explains Marketing Manager, Anna Lopez. "These imperfections can be minor to extreme and can cost a photographer hours in post-production editing to remove. In the past a photographer would shoot a blue sky or white wall at F22, transfer the image to a computer and magnify it to find the areas of the sensor that needed to be cleaned; this process would be completed several times until a clean sensor was produced. The SensorScope enables quick and easy inspection with universal compatibility across DSLR brands and models, giving the photographer the ability to inspect and clean quickly and away from the studio."

Delkin's already comprehensive DSLR image cleaning system also received upgrades this month, with two new components added to the arsenal of cleaning tools that are designed to tackle various types of sensor debris. A recent partnership with respected manufacturer LensPen® resulted in a custom designed polishing and edging tool inspired by DSLR camera technicians. The SensorPen™ by LensPen® features a non-carbon triangular tip for cleaning the edges of the sensor and polishing the sensor surface, as well as a slide out soft DSLR body brush that safely removes dust and debris from the camera body.

"Lens Pen has a great reputation among photographers, videographers and camera technicians, and this final polishing and edging step really completes the sensor cleaning process," explains Marketing Manager, Anna Lopez. "Not only does it effectively remove small debris that can become lodged in hard to reach areas, the proprietary material on the tip of the pen reduces overall static on the sensor surface which helps to keep the sensor clean in the future."

A dual sided lint free cleaning cloth has also been added to the system, with a white microfiber side designed for sensitive exterior optics and a grey terry side for the removal of fingerprints and oils from the SensorScope and camera body.

The award winning system ships with the newly patented SensorScope inspection device, a dual speed SensorVac that removes loose and potentially abrasive particles, 24 double-sided SensorSafe Wands and a bottle of alcohol free SensorSolution that removes chemically adhered contaminants such as pollen, condensation and lubricant, a SensorPen, a SensorCloth, a battery pack to power the SensorVac in the field, and a user guide with step by step instructions for safe inspection and cleaning. Refill kits that include 15 SensorSafe Wands, a bottle of SensorSolution and a SensorPen can also be purchased, as well as the SensorScope Inspection Device a la carte. The upgraded SensorScope product family is now shipping to specialty photo and video retailers worldwide. SensorScope System is listed for USD$119.99, SensorScope Inspection Device for USD$79.99 and Refill Kits for USD$34.99.
