Canon has released yet another round of firmware updates for the 1Ds Mark II (version 1.1.3) and the 1D Mark II (version 1.2.3). Canon indicates that "Pressing the DISPLAY button right after shooting images resulted in an abnormal display and the camera would freeze. Images are not lost when this occurs. Also, removing and then reloading the battery restores the camera to normal operation. This version 1.1.3 (or 1.2.3) firmware incorporates fixes for the issue described above."

Huge price drop: J&R.com has the Gretag Macbeth Eye-One Display monitor calibrating hardware/software on sale for $59.88 (Direct Link).

Don't forget - the Canon rebates end July 15th. And $500 off a Canon EOS 1D Mark II sounds like a great deal to me.
